After School Program Celebrations!
The Elk Valley / KRR After School Program has been completed for this school year. We celebrated the students' successes with several special events. All the children enjoyed making and eating smoothies - green smoothies & fruit smoothies. We also had a one mile spring "Fun Run". Every boy and girl crossed the finish line and received a medal declaring them a "WINNER"! To wrap it all up, the students released helium balloons on the school play ground and watched them soar into the sky. In the After School Program, our goal is for every child to "soar" in their academics! They are reaching for the stars, and I am proud of each and every one of them!

FAST Program
After completing the eight week FAST Program (Families and Schools Together), eight Elk Valley families graduated on Friday, April 10th. The celebration included the sharing of a meal together, graduation cake, and punch. Diplomas were presented to each family. It was a wonderful time of celebration, camaraderie, fun, and laughter!
Lion Baseball
The EV Lion Baseball team played their first home game against Wichita Life-Prep. While the boys didn't get to celebrate a win the first game, they did get to cheer on teammate Kyler Folsom as he hit a GRAND SLAM! The second game was off to a good start when the weather took a turn for the worst and the game was called to an end. Good job Lions...we are proud of you and the hard work you show on the field!
